Math and Bioshock: Infinite

I've come to the realization that I have taken nothing away from my morning calculus class.  I've gone every day to simply sit there and stare blankly at my Prof.  I'm still passing the class, I'm simply just not doing anything during the actual class period.
On an unrelated note I've recently watched the trailer for Bioshock: Infinite.  I'm skeptical.  I don't have faith that it will be a good game, and I've been a Bioshock fanboy since the beginning.  I feel as though they're just taking the gameplay without really changing anything and simply imposing it into a different setting, that still seems to have a strong "Rapture" esque quality to it.  I feel as though they are insulting my intelligence a bit by simply painting the original game a different color and selling it back to me.

Edit: I just realized I originally posted it as Infinity, it is actually Infinite

  1. Obviously they think so highly of themselves that they didn't think they needed to change a thing, just needed to change the location the "thing" was happening. Nevertheless I will probably buy the game anyway, simply because I'm looking for something to play.

  2. I'll probably still get it. I'm a bioshock fan too, and this new one is still a long ways away so it could still change quite a bit.

  3. Calculus is something best learned through just doing the homework, and the tests are a breeze. I always fell asleep during my lectures because they weren't very helpful.

  6. Gotta say, I'm the opposite on Bioshock. I hated the first two, couldn't get on with them at all, but I'm thinking Infinity looks like it may be pretty damn good.

Of course I'll wait until I play it to hype it to hell and back, but I'm surprised by the way it's shaping up.

  10. I used to zone out during certain classes too, but then it hit me that making an attempt to learn the lesson while in the class cuts down time I'd have to otherwise spend studying outside of it.

  11. I kind of feel the same way about Bioshock. I'm kind of trying to forget that it's part of the same series, and instead think of it as an individual game. I'm excited for the story though. And being scared. Bioshock was the only game that could ever scare me.
